Hey Guys and Dolls, it's Blog time again :).
So today is the 14th, which means officially I have been in Thailand for 12 days 12 can you believe that? because I am struggling to. I guess some of you might be wondering what I am up to and what's been happening? and if not I'm gonna tell you anyway :).
I have yet to decide if my first almost 2 weeks in Thailand has been productive or not, I don't feel that I have done enough to class it as productive but I do have it from reliable sources that I never think I have done enough, so maybe I should cut myself some slack.
I spent a bit of my time (a reasonable amount of time to be more honest) freaking out about what on earth I am doing here. Somehow I have managed to end up living in a different country where I don't speak the language, don't know a lot of people and am not attached to an organisation, cue panic.
As I have panicked over this and prayed over this I have come across two scriptures repeatedly, the first is:
Psalm 25:1-2
To you , O Lord, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God, do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.
This has been my mantra and my comfort; this and Psalm 23 which has got to be one of my all time favourites. There has also been a whole lot of prayer for guidance, wisdom and understanding and I request that any of my praying friends add these things to their list for me.
The second scripture that I have come across repeatedly has given me great comfort and helped me to relax into the changes in my life here in Thailand a little bit better than I might have.
Isaiah 25:1
O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marvellous things, things planned long ago.
I know that I am here for a reason, I know that reason is not my own and I am glad but I take great comfort in remembering that the things I am doing here and now are already known and planned for, if I make mistakes, they have already been fixed as long as I continue to follow the path I have been set and do not turn aside I know that things will be as they are meant to be and this brings me great joy.
Speaking of things that have brought me great joy :D, I have had the opportunity to catch up with some of my friends over here YAY.
First up was Jason, he came to visit when I got to town and I had the chance to deliver a care package from his family :D.

All this was followed by lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant, a great day had by all :D.
Other things happening in the life of Cleo you ask?
What you mean apart from gallivanting all over the country side catching up with people?
The rest of my time has been taken up by a few different things, my first priority was to get out of the interim hotel I booked, although it was very nice it is just not in the budget. Because I have stayed in Khon Kaen a few times before this was successfully achieved in 2 days :D yay. Buying a bike on the other hand... a little more difficult, although I am still wheel less it is looking like that will change very soon, with the help of a good friend :D.
As for the rest of my days they normally involve Bible study, Thai study, thinking, planning and researching for my future plans and making contact with people, those who I already know and look forward to catching up with and new people I look forward to being friends with.

Thai study, thank goodness I live in Thailand, learning Thai would be hard without hearing it. |

Reading up and staying sane :D |
What am I saying learning Thai is hard when I can hear it :D.
I think that's about it for today, I'm hoping it wasn't too long and boring for you all :D. I can't wait till I can be more specific about some of the exciting projects that seem to be lining up.
Until next time Guys and Dolls, thank you for reading :D xo.
Good work Clobe-wan Kenobi... You are doing us all proud, and even though we miss you, I guess we have to be content with sharing you with those less fortunate than ourselves...
